Richard Taylor - Webmaster.
Some of you will be aware that Richard has not been too well for a few weeks,
hence his lack of response should you have been trying to get in touch with him.
After a lot of tests Richard has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
He was admitted to hospital about 10 days ago.
The hospital has started an intensive treatment of Chemotherapy.
Naturally this is knocking seven bells out of him....
Richard had a little scare a couple of days ago close to the end of his first 10 session of chemo
and he came down with an infection (septicemia) that needed a couple of days in the High Dependancy Unit.
However he is now back on the ward he started off in with a lovely room all to himself
and he has even managed to wangle Freeview to watch a bit of telly such as American Hotrod
and Orange County Choppers.
Rumour has it he is trying to get a good signal for internet access but this is more difficult
- if anyone can manage it Richard can!
Obviously while trying to tackle this 'Little Health Issue'
Richard will not really be able to do much with the Forum,
Hence Chris York and Nick Dunning (who have been informed and kept upto date)
will basically be holding the fort for the time being.
Joanne and the boys are fine for those of you who know them
and a lot of people are offering help where needed, both family and friends.
Whilst Jo appreciates peoples concerns should you have contact details for her
and the boys please keep phone calls etc to a minimum at this time.
Richard would probably appreciate a card with a few words as it will be a while before he is allowed out.
Cards can be sent straight to him at the ward as follows.
Richard Taylor
c/o Oak Ward
Pinderfields General Hospital

Please DO NOT send Flowers or Fruit etc as he can not have any at this time due to infection risks.
Should the situation change I will of course update this thread in line with Richard's and Joanne's wishes.
