Evening all - and a very Merry Christmas. For those that can brave flood water, hangovers and also get their car started on Boxing Day there is a meet in Romsey for pre-1976 classics:

I intended to attend but alas His Lordship failed to start following a sodden December. I'll be there amongst the milieu, camera in hand.

Well done Spinakerr, can we depend on you to post your pictures hear please.I'd love to go but can't make it.I'm sure others would like to see.

But of course - a sampling of the delights on offer below, firmly biased towards the Rover marque as a matter of course.

Despite the decidedly grey morning it was the busiest I have ever seen - hundreds of people packed in to view pre-1976 classics, plus American offerings (mostly achingly pristine) and a number of hot rods. Some general pics followed by the Rovers I saw.

Quite a number of TR6s were on show:

I always notice new details on American classics that I think I know well:

Plus the occasional cat that didn't mind the rain:

This Messerschmidt garnered a good amount of attention:

And our more familiar fair:

Hopefully next year my own P5 won't feel so allergic to its new electric fuel pump. Blast.

That looks like a good turn out .The detail on that American car's (what is it?) indicator is superb

I think it's a Lincoln Continental?

Indeed it was - possibly the longest two coupe I have ever seen; it had to reside in one of the spaces for 'buses & coaches'.
