The 2011 RP6C National Rally will be held for the second time at the Hawkesyard Estate, Armitage Park, Rugeley, which is just a few miles off the M6 Motorway, in Staffordshire. We have again moved in a new direction by making the National Rally a weekend event.

This year we are including Saturday into the festivities, so that you can make a weekend of it if you would want. Saturday will include an afternoon road run around the beautiful Staffordshire countryside and an evening meal, details will be sent out to those expressing an interest.

On Sunday, we will hold the main event and there will of course be a few competitions to take part in. As always, there will be the self judging for your favourite P6, the ‘Ladies’ and ‘Next Generation’ also have their choice, as does our Chairman with the ‘The Chairman’s Choice’ trophy. There will also be a Furthest Travelled and Best Everyday P6 along with Best Non P6 and other catagories. We also have by popular request the return of PADS Canine Display Team to give us a demonstration and several other attractions including trade spares and autojumble. We will have a bouncy castle for the juniors again, and we will doing a limited amount of valuations. If you would like a valuation, please pre book with Nick Dunning.

We have a few caravan places with power for anyone who wants to camp on site and plenty of local B&B’s and also a field available for camping. There is a restaurant on site and again we have booked a teatime buffet type meal, so there will be no need to rush off. If you would like to join us for the buffet could you indicate this on your entry form or direct to Mark Gray (£6.00 per head ).

The gates are open on Sunday from 09.30am and entry is £6.00 per car payable to RP6C in advance. Please return your completed entry form (below) to the club address, marked for The National Rally. Passes will be sent out a few weeks before the event. Separate booking forms will be sent out for Saturday and Teatime Buffet, and this year there is no need for an SAE. Alternatively you can use the on-line booking form at

PS

As before RP6C is not required to attend this event, but rest assured, Nick and I will badger you if you're not!

We have a couple of P6 spares retailers coming to sell their wares and also we have Autosmart doing various demonstrations. We also have PADS dog display team for your entertainment and a bouncy castle for the children. For part of the day, we will also have a Staffordshire Police Mobile Camera vehicle with us demonstrating how the mobile cameras work. We have cancelled the Sunday evening buffet in favour of an all day BBQ which is being operated by the Hawksyard Estate Chef. There are also more trophies and awards this year than we have ever made available, most of which are based upon participants voting, so get in early and make sure you get a good spot as responce in the last few weeks has been tremedous and we maybe running out of space before much longer.
That all said, why haven't you all booked in yet?

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MAIN DAY OF FESTIVITIES IS SUNDAY THE 11TH SEPTEMBER.

Saturday the 10th September festivities includ a short road run and an evening meal at a local hostalry.

Yep, I'll be there but on the Sunday only unfortunately.

(Entry form in the post to you tomorrow, Mark! :) )

Hi Chris/Mark not sure if I can make it but can you turn up and pay entry on the day may be the Sunday :?: :?: :?:

If it's possible just to turn up on the Sunday, I'd like to try my best to, but I probably won't know if I'm coming until the day before the event. :)

we will be coming down from the north east branch 2 v8s and a 2000tc,but only coming on the sunday, really looking forward to it,hope its sunny, see you all there :D

Yes you can just turn up on the day, but we would prefer a little advance notice if at all physically possible.
However, that said, any of you on this thread who said you maybe able to attend but will not be sure until the day, we will be provisionally booked in for the sunday, but it your work, ect, prevents you, we won't hold it against you if you don't make it.

Kev, always welcome mate, regardless of what is powering the wheels! As a footnote, we have separate class awards this year for many different classes of entry, both Rover and non Rover!

See you all there!

I shall be going in Lucky, along with Jim (Tofufi) as passenger. I've got to fit the new back bumper and half a dozen other jobs between now and then! Don't want to let the side down.

Also coming in convoy with us will be Srefan and Heik (transexl) in their new acquisition "Jimmy".

Anyone else coming up from Bristol wants to go up in convoy?

Chris

I won't be able to make it this year I'm afraid, if I do get out of hospital by then I'll be in no fit state for that sort of journey.

Have a great time everybody !
