RP6C Southern National, Blenheim Palace, 10th August

I cant bring both of mine as it would be a trailer queen, and we cant have that!
They are all having a day out this sunday!
But the boss can have a rest the following weekend as he has been busy driving me to work this week, and all next week! :)

All systems go for Sunday. We have 66 P6's pre-booked at the last count, plus many more turning up on the day. This should be an excellent day.

Bring it on!
Dave's Little Helper

I'll be going for the 'scruffiest modern rover' award. I presume you have one of those???

Dave Griffin the organiser of the Rover P6 Club National Rally has issued the following event instructions.

You can pay on the day too - so come along, any car, member or not!

Rover P6 Club Southern National Rally

Blenheim Palace is eight miles north-west of Oxford, on the A44 Evesham Road. The Palace is signposted from junction 9 of the M40.

When visiting Blenheim Palace by car, please be aware that a 20mph speed limit applies in all parts of the Estate.

Please use the Main Gates off of the A44. These gates will not open before 09.30am.

Please DO NOT use the back entrance via Woodstock.

All cars should be parked up in the display area by 10.30am ready for self-judging.

Please obey the Club Marshalls & Blenheim Palace Marshalls on where to park your cars.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times around the park and unfortunately are not allowed into the Palace itself.

Your rally pack will be given to you on arrival at the entrance with further instructions written on the front of the envelope.

Have a safe journey to Blenheim.

I will be attending on Sunday and look forward to seeing forum and club members cars 'in the flesh'.
Dependent on the weather I may be able to drive up in something with a Rover connection.

Mark

Wow, the weather certainly looked better than we had in Nottingham yesterday - I don't mind my car getting wet, but I didn't fancy getting soaked myself.

This was right at the end when the rain had stopped and the galeforce winds had started....

Yep. That was when it started to get really scary. We couldn't have held the tent and gazebos down any longer than we did.

Against great adversity it was a great day. Possibly the most extreme conditions I've ever done at a show, but we got there in the end.

Cheers
Nick

Well done to Dave, Brenda, Nick, and everyone else who had a hand in organising the show at such a great venue.

And congratulations to all the brave souls who didn't let the somewhat extreme weather deter them from coming.....

.....oh, and obviously including myself in that!

Cheers all.
