Another Saffron Rover, gee they're becoming as common as mud!
Most of those that are left must be for sale
Few interesting points to note. The choke and reserve have been relocated. Nothing unusual with that, quiet common when there is air conditioning fitted, but this Rover doesn't appear to have such.
1976 models for the Australian market all came with black plastic door mirrors, not those that are shown. Of course they could have been changed.
Black arm rests were not the norm for 1976 models, rather they were the same colour as the seats, glove boxes etc.
The oil pressure gauge is metric, units in kPa, so that fits with the 1976 model.
Ron.
P.S: Noted a few more points of interest.
The V8 badge on the boot to my knowledge only appeared up until the change over in 1974. Those Rover's with the 9.25:1 engine (this Rover likely has the 8.3:1 engine) were not fitted with one.
The toe bar is almost exactly the same as the one on my Rover. It is the only other Rover that I have seen with one the same.
