Fellow Rover Owners.

The SARR will held on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May at the Falkirk Wheel.

Saturday will be the traditional road run and an evening meal/quiz. The venue for the meal has to be confirmed but we are looking at a proper meal.

The website is going to be updated soon http://www.sarr.co.uk

Looking forward to a good turn out this year.

Colin

Hi Colin

It doesn't look like I'll be there this year

I've had another trip down south "arranged" for me. Something about a big family birthday

Oh well

Will definately be their! but havn't decided on the P6 yet as i've only been on one 30 mile run since i got it up and running. As i said before allready entered in the rover 75 but may get someone to drive that down and take the P6 aswell , will see after i have a run out this weekend

The NON Rovers entered are a 1962 MGA, 1996 Jaguar, 2004 Maserati and the Princess.

This year we also have a Golf buggy to ferry people up and down the hill not sure how much of a classic that is.

Remember when you drive in it id the main visitor centre you head for called the south car park. On the oppostie side of the Falkirk wheel the local council have a large carpark (because they thought there would be a lot of traffic coming to see the wheel.) If you go there, I think the restraunt there is called the wheelhouse it is the wrong side of the canal.

The Falkirk Wheel
Lime Road
Tamfourhill
Falkirk
FK1 4RS

The signage was pretty bad for the wheel itself but hopefully we will have orange signs with "Rally" on some of the lampposts. The postcode FK1 4RS will get you there if you put it in a sat nat or use one of the online route finders.

I drive through falkirk until I get to the Rosebank beefeater which is an old building next to the canal and a big roundabout. you then need to drive along side of the canal locks on Glenfuir Road, You will see some high flats on the left and lock garages just on the right is the turn off next to what looks like a big grey industrial building. I have just had a look on google street view and there does appear to be a big new road sign at the junction. I have been before but it is a tricky place to find.

See you all there

Colin

There are 13 P6 have pre-booked.

There is about 80 cars book in in all, because it is so central I expect to see a few turn up on the day especially if the sun is shinning.
