SD1 Alloy center caps

Hi,

Anyone know if these are a specific oddball Rover size (CRC1360) or whether they follow some kind of standard and can be replaced easily? I don't fancy £60 for 4 new ones.

Basically I'd like them to be a little flatter and as long as they are steel or alloy I can have them powder coated to match the wheel.

Any ideas?

Also a link to the correct type of Imperial bolt to use the standard P6 wheel bolts with the SD1 alloy would be jolly helpful. Thanks

60 pounds for 4 sounds reasonable. i wouldn't get the alloy caps to replace the steel ones. the springs are different and they have a habit of coming off. they are also heavier so can do sme damage! mind you we migh be talking about different units.

Good luck with above, let me know how you get on, this thread topic is my attempt to fit sd1 series 2 alloys to my P6B
Which alloys are you fitting, the series 1 or series 2 14" VDP alloys, or the Vitesse alloys??

wheel nut size info for rover alloys

Hi, the series 1 14" wheel. About the only alloy wheel that looks like it had been made for the P6 IMHO. I actually prefer the style of the Vitesse alloy but it is too obviously a 1980s design and ironically associated with that particular car. I have the extra problem that mine is a S1 and all alloys look a bit "add on" for this car.

Nice, I'd like to know what the hole size is on the series 1 alloys, seems like they are smaller than the 0.700" in my series 2's, so hopefully you will be able to get standard (0.680" dia) wheel nut to suit.
