Series 1 Towbar number plate lamp

My late 66 has a towbar fitted and I note that instead of the central single central number plate lamp it has 2 lamps which i have not seen elsewhere. The towbar is niceley fitted and the wiring looks original with rubber bullet connecters.

(that rear bumper could do with a rechrome- looks okin the daylight!)
Is this original? I would have thought that the wiring to the single standard central light would foul the towbar?

hi SirD66,
the bumper you have is one for the european market, either your car is 'foreign' or the bumper has been changed at some point in it's life.

The same number plate lamps are fitted to my Series 1 1970 2000 TC which was originaly a german market export model. :;):
 
Thanks for the info. If I get a heritage certificate will this list if the towbar was factory fitted, or do i take pot luck? Anyone got a heritage certificate for a 1960s p6 and does it list the factory fitted extras?
