Sheffield Festival of Transport 18th June

There was about a gazillion people here today - I have never seen so many people at a classic car show

There were 4 P6s here including a very nice white 2200 owned by the current owner since 1980

A super clean 2200 in green

A blue 2000

And of course Sparky,

Plenty of other stuff as well, including an immaculate P5B next to me, another P5B saloon further down, plenty of Triumphs (a TR6 won car of the show), lots of fords, Barnsley's Morris Minor club, some yank tin, a few Jensens, Bikes, a Gilbern and lots of other stuff. A Tickforb Capri won the 1970s saloon class.

I spent the whole day talking to people who approached me wanting to know more about Sparky. Great fun :D

Great to meet the Forum members too :)

The wheels on the green 2200 are Wolfrace Slotmags. The owner Tony is in our local section and the car has won best 2200 a couple of times at the National rally.

He's got a thing for stainless steel fasteners and brackets and recently made brushed stainless panels to replace the vinyl ones on the C pillar.

I bought a mirror finish stainless stiker plate from him for Sparky - very nice too

That could look rather good when done.

I meant to get one off Tony at Twycross...then it went out of my head. I'm pleading age-related here!
