Speedometer.

I didn't know which section to post this so went for interior.

My speedo rattles like something possessed. I think it is this that has had me fretting about my engine noises. Is there a fix for this?

There might be something loose but you won't find out without taking it apart. Does it work ok, apart from the rattling?

Yes, it's a bit wavy. I wondered if it might be dry and the mechanism is noisey? It sounds horrible.

Phil, My speedo ticked, getting faster when the cars speed increased, until the wind noise of the sunroof drowned it out, the speedo indicator was also a bit wavy. The ticking drove us mad in traffic. I changed the elbow drive on the back of the speedo with a spare one. Job sorted, silence reigned and the needle stopped flickering.

Cheers John. That's the noise. It sounds like the crank is about to fall out.

Youo may be lucky, Phil, if you strip the angle drive and clean the dry grease out, then regrease. If not then new drives are reasonably readily available.
