Not unusual to have a turbo fed from one bank on 'V' engines.Not sure that manifold would be ideal for P6 as it looks very SD1 to me.In any case it would not be as simple to simply bolt on.The compression of the engine would need to be low to deal with the increase of intake and combustion.
If you've got a low compression V8 and only run low boost then you won't have any problems, I see loads of modern engines given "a bit of boost" without reducing the CR.
Plenty of very low CR rover v8's in the 4x4 models.
