Stainless Steel exhaust

hi again ......also i am looking for a ss exhaust system for my series 1 P6B.....and ideas that dont require a morgage? :)

I have just picked my P6 up yesterday after having a full ss system fitted from the manifolds back. I did look at all options and unless you can find a second hand one it won't be that cheap. I used a local Longlife exhaust specialist who made me a tailor made system as my downpipes are routed differently due to having an SD1 sump. The total system cost me £630, which cost slightly less than an off the shelf ss system from a known supplier, plus I would have to had of fitted it myself. Also I now have straight through silencers allowing the engine to breath better, an off the shelf system didn't have this and I also specified the noise that I wanted and they got it absolutely spot on :D I will try ant get some pictures up on my project page later.

I had the full ss on my "s" about a year ago, also from Longlife. They did tell me the sound doesnt get to its best until approx 9 months to a year after fitting. Can't say I noticed it changing, it sounded superb when it was done and still does. Money well spent.

I agree with Happy Days, mine is a Longlife system and my initial impressions are that it is a quality system and sounds great.

cheers guys ...... they quoted me £500 inc vat and delivery ...... i will be taking this up... thanks again :0)
