starter motor 2000 TC

Hello, I have a small problem with my 2000 TC, it don't start, and the starter motor is dead?
Is someone know if this starter motor was fit to another car, or is it possible to put an High Torque?

66 should have an inertia starter, so if that is the case the first thing I would do is connect a jump lead directly between the battery live and the terminal on the motor itself to see if it works then. Don't do this if the car is in gear or you could end up running yourself over........

I've not heard of any Hi-Torq starters being available, or used on, 4 cylinder P6's, only V8's.
