Starter Motor Problem .........or is it ?

Hoping someone can shed some light, still stumped dont know what else to try!!

2.2tc man.

Problem, sometimes when attempting to start the starter motor will turn very slowly, then the car will start.
Sometimes it will start fine.

After a run if you try and start it it will

A Just click when ignition reaches position 3. If you constantly retry this it will eventually after 5 or 6 goes, start, with starter spinning between reasonable or good pace. If this is unsucessful simply trying it a half hour or so later it will useally start, with starter spinning at good pace.

B When switch reaches position 3 all ignition lights go out and nothing happens at all. If you keep trying again after 5 or 6 goes it will start normally.

If the battery has been fully charged it will start fine when cold, however after a run A or B again.

WHAT I HAVE ALREADY DONE

1 Checked battery
2 Charged battery on charger unit
3 Checked battery charging via alternator
4 Checked terminals under drivers floor matt (ie cleaned and tightnend)
5 New battery terminals (at battery end)
6 New negative battery earth lead
7 New engine earth lead
8 Checked cleaned and tightened connections on starter

WHAT I AM ABOUT TO DO UNLESS OTHERWISE ADVISED!

Fit tempoary push button start to determine if when the fualt appears on the key it can be bypassed with this method of starting hence diagnosing poorly ignition switch.

Any help greatly appreciated
