starter motor removal 2000 and brakes

hi everyone having abit of issue with early rover 2000 I am restoring it needs a new starter motor, but how do you get devil out?
removed the two bolts but crossmember and engine there isn't enough space clearance to remove it. any advice would good :?
also rear brakes are locked on as it been standing 10+years would they simply free off once I get her running or should i remove pads as moving into a new building

if you have it unbolted you should be able to pull it back to clear the bell housing and let the nose drop down. With the wires removed it should be ok. I did this job only a week or two ago.

The pads often stick on to the disc when left standing. I would remove the bolts for the outer pad and try to roll the car rather than trying to knock them out.
