Temp gauge perhaps dead?

Hello all,

Been away for a bit with work, Stag Do's and all the affiliated trouble related with Stag Do's, however, I'm back in the country now.

I've been working on the Rover, getting it ready for its MOT and it would appear to me the temp gauge has died on me while away.

I've taken the green wire and earthed it to the engine bay, which gives no such luck, I've then decided to take the gauge out of the pod cluster and test it against the battery. Even with a direct connection against the battery, the gauge only moves up to the end of the 45 white area of the scale, not touching the green at any point.

Some point earlier in the week it appeared to be ok, however, this is no longer the case.

Has it died? anyone got one kicking about for a 2000tc they don't want/need?

Thanks in advance for the help for the help.

Hi Fraser

I have a spare V8 temp/fuel gauge. Not sure if it'll work on your 2000TC but you're welcome to try.
