"Lakes Rally 2011
Stewart Devlin, Rover Sports Register, has run the Lakes Rally for more years than we care to remember, and has decided enough’s enough and has stood down from the task. Who can blame him, he has done a tremendous job and made the Lakes Rally one of our most important events.
For this year, just to keep things rolling, I have agreed to run the event for all Rover clubs. I have not got the time to be involved with accommodation bookings, but I will run our meet at Haverthwaite Railway centre, with a short run to the re-located Motor Museum at Backbarrow on the Saturday 17th September, and on Sunday at the wonderful Holker Hall in Cartmel.
Please let me know if you would like to attend by sending a cheque for £5 payable to the Rover P4 Drivers Guild, to cover entrance to the Holker Hall and a rally plaque. All Rovers will be judged on the Sunday and best in class will be judged along with the Dennis Ambler Award for best P4 on the day.
