The P6's most serious shortcoming.

Back to the query...

I used one of these sorts of cup holders http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Can-and-C ... 1033985144 & modified it by straightening the upper part using heat, then cutting the top bit off & riveting it sideways as a" steady bar". I then curved the remaining upright & made a lip to slip under the transmission tunnel finisher.

It was better on a manual transmission tunnel for coffees etc as it was more upright, & bottles etc were further away from the gear lever:

Same ones as John linked to, Phil. I like your idea - there's not enough elbow room in a P6 to hang one from the door.

Some good options there, Ron. I see the credit card being relieved of some of its cobwebs very soon.

Used the Rover to pick up my mother-in-law for Christmas today, and couldn't do without my caffeine fix for 120 miles so:-

I managed to get away with just the single elastic hook, clipped to the passenger seat-belt stalk, and ideally I need to find a more snug fitting cable reel, but it did the job :p

I use the flask for two reasons:

1) It keeps the coffee hot for longer
2) If you run out of coffee simply buy some more and place in the same receptacle, so you only need one size reel of cable to suit all possibilities :D

Of course on the home run I had the mother-in-law as the cup holder :? :? :?

That is awesome! And your cup/flask is identical to the one I use! What's more, I have one or two reels in the garage. And best of all, my mother-in-law lives in another country, far, far away!

Ha ha!!! Let's hope she, (or your wife come to think of it), doesn't read these forums :? :? :?

As long as it was a nice clean shoe so you didn't inhale a mighty whiff of soxygen along with your coffee.
