In the process of having the boot lid resprayed we were told that Jimmys "Tobacco Leaf" was fashioned after a Land Rover tone called "Arizona".

Does anybody know whether the two colours are an exact match?

DANKE!

In the late 1960's that Tobacco leaf appeared, Land Rovers came only in the six following colours: Bronze green, Light green, Mid gray, Limestone, Marine blue and Sand (Export only). So nothing really close to Tobacco leaf. Even in Range Rovers that came later, as far as i know there was never a hue called "Arizona". There was Sandglow, but this was too yellow to be close to Tobacco leaf.
Edit: I have just found that Arizona tan is a 1980's Land Rover 90-110 colour, so too late to be anyhow related with Tobacco leaf.

THANKS!
(I'm sorry, it was indeed called "Arizona Tan"!)

This is interesting.
What our Coulours Shop mixed in relation to "Arizona Tan" is not distiguishable from our "Tobacco Leaf".
Gotta do some research on this when I have the time!
(Will chat with the mixer guys)
