When adjusting the tickover on the 2000 TC model, I have found it best to adjust the rear tickover screw ONLY.
This will open both carb butterflies equally due to the positive linkage between the carbs, rear to front.
However the front carb tickover screw is independant and has no corresponding effect on the rear , so it is possible to unbalance the carbs (at tickover only not through the whole range) if this is screwed down by more turns than the rear.
