Tyre Wear

I have always had trouble with uneven tyre wear on the front tyres, always on both the inner edges. I've had the car tracked and checked more than once by a garage run by a couple of old BL franchise service mechanics, so they knew what they were doing. I have often noticed P6s in scrap yards usually have the same symptom. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause? Is it some bush or ball joint on the suspension, which although would pass an MOT, may be worn and cause this problem?

my tryes are doing that as well, in fact got worse since I had tracking done 700 miles ago! - going for MOT tomorrow + tracking and new tyres - if all well at MOT and tyres show any signs of wear - well need and answer as well! I remeber mini's ( the proper ones) used to cause same wear if ball joints gone but you could usually see the movment ....
