Hi everyone
Just thought some of you may be interested to see some pictures of that 3500S which I sold four years ago precipitating my temporary absence from the P6 world!
She was completely restored by the previous owner at JP Restorations, and he spent a small fortune. I further improved the car, particularly mechanically. She had everything really, 5-speed conversion, unleaded heads, fully-electronic ignition, webasto roof, PAS, stainless exhaust, boot mount, and...
an extraordinary non-standard red interior! The original was buckskin. The seats and ET's were beautifully re-trimmed in red leather and all matching interior trim made bespoke at huge cost. Opinions varied on how this looked with the Cameron Green, but she was very striking!
I sorted quite a number of issues over about four years driving her almost daily, and clocking up over 20,000 miles. My main complaint was the monstrously heavy clutch which made driving in town a real chore after about five minutes! A divorce, house purchase, and impending second marriage forced her sale.
Have deleted the massive pics, some better ones now added on most recent post!
