V8 diff

How easy is it to replace the diff, I have another as the last one had a leak, after putting in a garage to have it done they made a pigs ear of it, so able to tackle on axel stands or a nightmare.

Easily done on axle stands. The biggest problem is the diff is slightly unbalanced on a trolley jack so you have to be careful when lowering/raising it. Disconnect prop and driveshafts, pinion mount centre bolt, remove discs, handbrake linkage, caliper pivots and tie up calipers, remove bolts from diff crossmember and that's about it.
