V8 engine mount rubbers??

Just a quick Q for any of you if you are about!
Am I right in thinking the S1V8 engine mount rubbers are smaller than the S2,but you can fit the S2 ones to an S1 without problems?
Not sure if my rubber has split or the nut on the mount plate is loose.
Will check it out this morn,as eng has a tilt to it,and I can level it but when eng revved torque twists back to a tilt.
Got 2 spare good rubbers but think they are the bigger S2 ones.
UPDATE
D/S rubber mount has split from the metal so will need replacing, will do both to keep it balanced!

The very early cars have the thinner mount which is the same one as used on the P5B, but the later cars use the thicker one, but the engine brackets are different. If your early car has the same engine brackets as your later one, then it uses the same thicker mountings.

The early car has early thin mounts.
The early S2 original engine from my daily driver in the shed has later thick mounts!
So will fit those for now, but its a bit of a tight fit!
Any tips as to fitting them?

The later, larger mounts didn't fit in my S1. Too big a diameter and too thick.

I managed to find amongst the "treasure" in my garage some mounts that were of the smaller diameter but as thick as the later ones..........made the engine sit too high !!

I had to pay out and get the correct small diameter AND thinner ones. From Wins I think.
