v8 exhaust question

hi
ive fitted a stainless to my series 1 v8
sounds nice but looking for a little bit more burble .
looked underneath do you need both silencers? or could I even cut 1 away and replace with a piece of pipe.
would it still run ok or create issues?
anybody feedback woul;d be great

two part???
has it been modified from standard or stainless system?
didn't want to spend a fortune as not long had this stainless fitted.
also looking for the twin pipe exit if poss ?
was wondering if it would alter running /power if I was to cut out 1 box/silencer

The middle box - the one under the car - is absent in ETR 290L.

Now you mention it, I've had a 3500 with a 'burble pipe' - i.e. the with other box missing instead - the one near the tail pipe.

That sounded very nice indeed but it was only done in a desperate attempt to squeeze a bit more life out of a very rusty pipe.

looks like its going to be a trial and error project seeing which one sounds best.
at least no harm will come to the running of the engine like modern cars with cat systems.
