V8 P6 Sump

Hi,

We're finally getting our finger out and gathering up the bits needed to convert our P38 Rangerover 4.6 ready to be installed in our Historic Road Rally car. We'd rather not strip too much off our good running 3.5, we have a doner SD1 engine which will give up a lot of the bits needed but we do need the P6 specific bits. Top of our wish list is a sump. Anybody got a spare P6 V8 sump?

I think I have a sump. I'll check tomorrow. Are you going to need a windage tray and pickup with it?

Thanks for the reply, yes we'd need the pick-up and windage tray as well as we'd like to leave the lower half of the current engine (as it runs really well) untouched, always useful to have a spare going engine in the back pocket just in case

I know it might be a bit late if you already have the 4.6 to go in, but it seems that, if you get the right one, it will fit straight in. The only slight mod required is a remote oil filter - see here:

We need to run with a distributor so this leads to a number of required changes/modifications, we are using http://www.mez.co.uk/TuningTheRoverV8-pt6.html as a guide.
