Vacuum advance.

Hi All,
A quickie for you to consider.
Would the vacuum advance unit as used on a Triumph Stag be suitable to use on a Rover V8?
It is the closest match I have found so far.

Hello RT,

The Triumph Stag uses a Lucas distributor, so the vacuum module will fit straight on. The only possible difference as far as the operation goes would be with the vacuum points at which it will operate and the total advance that it provides. There are modules available for Range Rovers etc, but once again there may well be slight differences as detailed above.

My understanding is that the Stag vacuum unit is indeed the closest replacement.
