Hi - I am looking to buy a good P6 3500S - what can i expect to pay for a really good example that requires little work ? - thanks all.

It will depend which country you are in. For argument sake, should you be in Australia, then above $12,000 would not be at all unreasonable.

Ron.

I agree with Ron. Location makes a big difference.
Two current ads in North America are asking for $3500.00(cdn) and $3600.00(us).
Good luck, I hope you find the right car.

As a broad guide, say £750 for in one piece and reasonably presentable, £1,200 with MoT and reasonably presentable, £2,000 to £2,500 for excellent base unit and reasonably presentable, £3,000 to £5,000 for show standard and very good technical condition. Or better, speak to one of the club's valuation officers. What do others think?

Chris

thanks all - i am in the UK.
what reduction in price would you expect if a car had no or limited history (i.e. the car had been fully restored but all documents have been lost) - what reduction would this have in the cost of the vehicle - thanks all

In my opinion, as long as you can see that it has been restored, I don't think it would make much difference at all.

But that is only my opinion, and bear in mind that a car of this age is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

If you are looking at a £500.00 fixer upper and it has one MOT missing from 1988, then it would make no difference at all.

On the other hand, if you are being told that the vehicle had £10,000 spent on it last year and the owner wants £6,000 for it, then it would be more important and you could use the non existence of the paperwork to haggle.

Have you a particular vehicle in mind? 8)

HI
the vehicle is a 3500S (Monza red) reg: HGP 236N - the previous owner (in Hampshire) was a member was a fellow enthusiast and a member of the club but I have been led to believe that sadley, he has passed away making it difficut to establish what has actually been done to the car.

does anybody know this vehicle ? I would be grateful for any information you can provide - thanks
