Hi my name is Gary and i have just registered on the forum so Hi to everyone out there.

It is official that I am a complete Rover nut (although there is a Stag and a Victor 101 estate lurking around) Currently i have to P5 3 Litres. The first one is a 1965 which i have had for years but now needs the lower half of the body sorting and the second is a 1960 MK?? with the big wobbly gear stick that has just been rescued from a barn where it has been stored since the mid 80's and is in very solid condition. Could be put back on the road easily enough but think we might do a proper job on it.

Can anyone help me in relation to the second car it has between the front and rear door a rectangular silver piece of metal about an inch high by half wide. There is one on each side in exactly the same spot and sit on the piece of metal between the two doors when shut therefore flush with the doors. I have looked through various books, internet etc. One suggestion that has been put forward is that it might have been an official car and it could be where the flags etc were fastened. Any suggestions would be great.

Cheers Gary

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

I dont know about the p5 door thing - you may find a link to a photo (on flicker, photobucket or similar) will let people see exactly what you mean :)

Cheers,
