Hi all. I'm needing a series 1 v8 fusebox as I've snapped mine in half while not paying attention fitting it. Can anyone help? Cheers all.

Hi Beaser

No response to you yet I see. Tut Tut everyone. I can't help with a new box, but I can lead you to where to buy a new one - www.holden.co.uk They are not cheap, but they do stock a huge variety of Lucas oddities, and they remanufacture distributors and all sorts.

Hope that helps.

Chris

Hi Beaser/Chris.

Isnt the series 1's fusebox, a std box as used on many an old austin, rover, morris, triumph.etc cars of the period??
Like this one!!

This one is on Ebay under "mgb fuse box!!"
I will have a rummage in my rover spares boxes,as I am sure I have seen one hiding somewhere!
There are plenty at autojumbles and on Ebay!
I didnt think that it was unique to the rover S1's?

Hi guys. All I know is the S1 only has 4 fuses and the 2's have a lot more. I could probably repair it but I'd rather have a replacement.

Pilkie's right - the S1 fuse box is from the standard Lucas range used across most cars of the period.

I'm currently trying to negotiate a series 2 V8 with a manual box as a spare instead. SSShhh. Mums the word. Now, where can I hide it..... :D

Hi ,having dismantled at least ten series two, mostly v8 I have several perfect fuse boxes -the one behind the glove box]get back and I will try and help, regards richard

Hi
The S1 and S2 fuseboxes, and main loom are totally different!! Unless your S2 is a VERY!! early one,it may just have a S1 type box in it.
