i have emailed him and said i dont want them,he said if i reimburse him £3.50 4 listing fees it will b ok,cant be any fairer, but if they are not genuine ones 4 the p6 why advertise saying they are?THANKS Bri

If you cancel the transaction via the proper dispute system he will get the fees back anyway!!
All he has to do is relist it!! "and maybe change the wording if they are incorrect"
Will come down to if you have got them yet,if he will pay for return postage or not,if they are wrong then he should do.
IF on the other hand he has not sent them yet,and you mutually agree to cancel then when he sends you the official refund all ppal or ebay sellers fees will be refunded to him.

I bought a pair of those wrong ones last year and persuaded them to fit by replacing the steel tubes with homemade copper ones with thinner walls. Not something I'd recommend, but I was desperate. 8 months on, they're still working fine with no unpleasant noises yet, though I expect I'll have to replace the copper when it wears out. The car seems to be damped properly with them.

They shouldnt be advertised to fit a p6 as every one i have spoke to said the same as everyone on the forum,i think its shocking he is still trying to sell them and for that price i think is a total rip off,Bri :D

Both Wynn's and Classeparts sell GAZ shocks for the P6. They are £360 a set of 4 so presumeably half that for the front alone. Because they are adjustable you would be able to have them as soft as the standard originals. BUT the P6 does respond very well to stiffer dampers at the front, so potential for a double win! To be honest £180 a pair sounds fine to me, very comparable to new shocks for a modern car, but I accept these are hardly stock clearance prices some may feel are their right for an old car. But then, I think we've established there isn't any stock left!

Again - what car are these "wrong " shocks designed for ? Do they work the other way round as they should ?
We may be able to source them for sensible money

alreet Pilkie,i sent a cheque down to him for £3,50 so he can relist them,i also sent a letter with it saying they shouldnt be advertised as nos p6 shockers as they arnt,he hasnt left any feedback and have not heard anything back off him,i also was lookink in my garage at some of my spares i have been collecting and wat pops up,only 2 brand new front shockers for my v8,so was well chuffed, just need a series 1 2000 grill badge now for the series 1 cheers Bri :D

I believe i got 4 shock absorbers as spares when i bought my P6 for £150 last year.

Is it true that they are really this hard to get?!
