Hi, all, just moved the car out of the garage and noticed the warning light on the dashboard wasn’t lit. Hand brake was on (honest!) and there is plenty of fluid in the reservoir, any suggestions?

Check all the brake pad warning light plugs are connected, the handbrake light switch is a check for that system and if any of the plugs are disconnected the light won't work. To check the dash light itself, remove the reservoir top with the ignition on and if the low fluid switch is working the light should come on. If it doesn't check the bulb.
The bulb, or the feed to the bulb. The choke light and oil pressure light run from the same feed, so if they work, then it won’t be the feed. The reservoir switch and handbrake switch earth to complete the circuit, so unless they have both failed, then I’d expect it’s the bulb.
Assuming the wiring is the same as my 4cyl wiring diagram.
Thanks, Harvey & Tom, I’ll have a look at your suggestions tomorrow, weather permitting. Oil pressure light works ok, the choke warning light was removed a couple of years ago during the “sorting it out” period.
