Thank you to everyone who joined us at Weston Park over the two day event. It was chilly and damp on Sunday and very wet and very cold on Monday, but it was a pleasure to see so many new members and old friends both on the display and as visitors. Our combined efforts were rewarded by the organisers Transtar, when the Club was awarded the trophy for Best Club Display of the show. An even more impressive result when considering the opposition was the big MG and Jaguar club displays, well done to one and all. The event had been advertised as a joint RP6C/RSR display, however unfortunately we only had one RSR car on Sunday and non at all on Monday, but in the spirit of the JRC, we did manage to co-opt a RP4DG member onto the display on Monday.
This very succcessful start to the outdoor season follows on from the two very successful indoor events at Donington and Manchester and will be followed by major events on Drive It Day and the RP6C Anniversary Rally at Beamish.
Our local Wolverhampton Branch will also be out at the sell out event at Chasewater next weekend, along with many more shows over the coming months. If you want to join us at these local events give us a shout or come along to our Wolverhampton Branch meet, on the first Thursday of every month, which from now on until September is an open classic car gathering with food available and entertainment. The Wolverhampton Branch meet is held at the Four Ashes Public House on the A449 between the M54 Motorway J2 and the A5. See you out and about.
