WHAT SHOULD I ASK FOR P6B 1974

Hi,

due to the arrival of a new motor i am having to rid my drive of all my oldies, both the vdub campers are going and also my short lived but much loved ownership of the 1974 p6b auto in cameron green. ( will be having another one as soon as the missus is less paranoid )

paid £2200 back in feb/march from baileys classsic cars and have had the gearbox stripped and rebuilt which is guaranteed parts and labour for 12 months/5000 miles and have done away with the rotten back box for a straight through exhaust, serviced it and cleaned up any visable electrical contacts etc.

Car is by no means a concourse model, paint work is acceptable you can use it without fear of the kids scratching it, everything works its mot'd till december and taxed till oct.

shell seems to be in good condition and it has had good repair to d posts and rear suspension mounts in the 90s.

I dont know what to ask, car stands me at £2900 and to me its worth every penny but no one is paying out this kind of money.

What do reckon?
Classic car guide is pointing me towards the 2k mark but even this seems steep looking at punters struggling on ebay.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
cheers Rich
