Wheel trims, brand new

Two is as many as anyone can see at a time. :)

I know what you mean, just like the numerous cars I've seen with thick and thin coachlines, with the thick one on the top on one side, and on the bottom on the other.....

Those are the very rare NADA variant in the highly polished finish. Even if they had been fitted, they look to be in perfect condition. As there is only a pair, fit them on one side of your car for photo opportunities.

I've seen a car recently that had a combination of polished and unpolished S hubcaps.
The polished do look very nice in the flesh, you almost forget they're just hubcaps with the chrome wheel nuts showing through!
If they're really that in demand I might start polishing some to sell or offer to do people's existing ones if anyone is interested?

Hi Jim,

The dominant 'S' wheel trims have a brushed finish composed of fine concentric rings which can be both seen and felt. The polished trims by comparison are completely smooth and essentially chrome like in appearance. Putting them side by side the difference is immediate.

What makes these trims so significant is the fact that they are so rare, and for me, that is something that should remain. :)

I've still got a set of NADA spec. trims which I persuaded a VW Camper owner to let me have in about 1988 (remember the time when all campers and transits seemed to have P6 hubcaps on?)

They've been on and off every P6 I've owned since then.

Could just do with another one now to fit them to. :)

At 277.77 Pounds the reserve has not been met and the listing has ended.

I do understand that it's based on supply and demand, but it's kind of ridiculous? I've got 16 of them and some other guys probably have more.. You could have a very nice set of rims for 277..
