Aston Martin??
Never see ones like this strange though P6 Front Seats have the headrest fixing in the middle of the seat but this is loaded into the seat differently
but looks like its meant to fit and it looks like a P6 Seat from behind, could this be a Australia style ?
I would not like to be sitting in the rear in a accident with the metal prongs sticking out.
Any front photos of the seats ?
Oz P6 were either NZ assembled or UK sourced - basicaly the same. Headrests were the same for bothNever see ones like this strange though P6 Front Seats have the headrest fixing in the middle of the seat but this is loaded into the seat differently

They look cool. Who doesn't love a bit of added rarity, eh!?
Now that you've shown us your unique headrests, may we also see some pics of the whole car?
Or did Rover make a P6 Seat without the headrest mountings, and this was added later.
They seem to protrude out a bit past the front of the seat but there is a cut out for your head to go into.
You never know it might be a one off thing Rover did and the headrests are now worth more then the car
I am sure some bright spark will be along to tell us all
I did a search in google images for Classic Car Headrests and I did find some not quite the same though, but there was one set of instructions on how to fit them so I guess it was a kit you could buy, a very good match to the seats they even have the black piping around the edges.
Good luck with you new buy
That's a very nice motor you've got yourself there relistan. Great colour. Thanks for sharing the pics of your new acquisition, now go and enjoy it!
Rover definitely made the seats for the earlier cars without headrests.
That is a real beauty. Snazzy door mirrors too. They look like paddy Hopkirk mirrors which were another desirable aftermarket upgrade.
