Really this is bloody stupid - £345 for two s*dding door mirrors! WTF?

I've been looking for two years for just ONE of these things in serviceable condition, not even new. But I'll be damned if I'll pay more than a ton.

Has no one seriously considered re-manufacturing them? The clubs? Any of the big suppliers? And no, other options don't look right (apart from the Zanetti version) and/or don't allow the quarterlights to open.

Oh well, given that the buyer is very likely to be a visitor here, perhaps they'll sell me their grotty old one...

I should say that l come from a position of having a boxed Winguard & a pair of boxed Zanetti's.

Funds for the fleet could be on the horizon.

I have one, broken Zanetti. The threaded ball/bolt thing rusted and broke off in my hand... So if I could graft another head on the stem, I would.

TBH I think the Zanettis look better than the generic Winguards but I hate the split mirror as it really isn't big enough.

I've not used the Zanetti's but love the look of them which is why l bought them. The Standard Wingard came to me in a job lot from a local spares shop that closed.
Not having a trailer queen however & at those prices, l doubt l'd ever fit them though l do have plans to bring my P5B back up to scratch.

This is my car as bought with the Zanetti. I've seen 2-3 Swiss cars with these fitted so I'm assuming this was more an option abroad than in the UK. I'm not certain but I think the base and stem are identical to the Winguard and only the head is different. It would seem strange to offer two such similar mirrors. I wonder why this was done?
