Wiper switch removal

Hi just a quick one can anyone give me some pointers on how to get the wiper switch out of the panel with out breaking the green knob thingy?

I think there should be a grub screw or a pin of some sort in the green knob thingy that once removed allows the knob to come off.

The knob should come off, IIRC theres a hole in the bottom that you insert something to depress the little plunger that holds it on. Then you just unscrew the switch retainer (the ring with the two slots in it) to remove the switch.
