But no, seriously, if you look back at old discussion threads this has been a popular subject. From my memory, the problem is that nobody now makes a wire wheel either splined or bolt-on for the Rover. Dunlop originaly made some for Mk1 2000 (tc's ?) and these are like hens teeth.
You can get US custom wheels that are spoked, but these don't look "Trad" at all.
As an aside, the V8 with a heavy car will place a lot of strain on the spokes ,so I would be weary of putting 2000 wires on a 3500. (the wheel width will be smaller too).
Sorry to put a spanner in the spokes so to speak, I think wires look good on the P6 too.
