My MOT didn't run out until end of July, and that is right when I'm usually too busy to be sorting out a car for its test, and I prefer to have the winter lay up to do my fettling. so I ran through it at the weekend and banged it in today. Clean bill of health and no advises, but the tester stated my washer pump was a bit poor. It was, it packed up when I got it home! Stripping it I found the little rubber impeller had obviously stuck at some stage and was, to use a proper technical engineering acronym, fubar'ed. I will do the credit card ring around tomorrow for a new washer bottle top. I left the car all day as I had a dental appointment and apparently the mechanics kept having to stop work as everyone who called in wanted to know all about the old girl.
