Yet another project for house of Birch...

My old man loved his 1800's, wheel at each corner with excellent all round visability, and great for towing his boat. He was most upset when the Princess came out due to the big C pillars, it took Leyland too long to make all the changes required and announce the Ambassador. A good car underdeveloped until it had lost the market.
He got a 1750 Maxi to tow the boat instead but was never as happy as he was with the 1800's. This was a shame as I got the Maxi at weekends unless he was using the boat, and he drove his Vauxhall Magnum Coupe instead, and as I was 19 the Magnum was much more fun!! The old 1800 was also good in snow, my 1800S was like driving a giant mini.

Yeah, I quite liked the old Landcrab, but the Princess, while based on the same decent ideas, was incredibly badly built and the ride was so soft as to make all passengers car-sick (at least in my grandparents' one).

Think your grandparent's one may have had faulty shocks at the back?

They're a very nice riding car and drive nicely in a grown up sort of a way ( i.e. it wont go rallying but a nice comfortable long distance motorway car). It has a 4 pot but so does the 600 and the 800 which i guess are it's descendants... (o series > m/t series and all...)
