The nuts hold the battery clamping frame, and the knobs hold the battery cover, on any car with a boot mounted battery. The hooks on the bottom fit under two brackets welded to the base unit.
if it will help and its allowed I can take messurements of the thread and length etc tomorrow. obviously u would need to get the plastic tops from somewhere but the rest would be easy to make with just a bit of threaded bar and a vice.
I have loads of these in my stash but I always isolate the battery when leaving my cars unattended even for a few moments so I shan't be installing them because I am always in and out of the boot every time I use the car.
They are there to secure the battery in position in the event of an accident,especially a roll over!!
You can still isolate the battery power when leaving the car via a hidden switch!
You only need to take it off,if you take the battery out,and it only takes a minute to fit or remove!
Another thing the MOT man should be making sure is fitted!
