well as most of you know i had this clunking and grinding noise coming from the front and i checked everything and all i found was the outer bolts needed tightening up a bit but still was there and it sounded like the spring was going to come through the bulkhead well went to a local show last week and sat back and was still thinking were is this noise coming from. which i have been doing for about 3 weeks and i put left hand lock on then push up and down on the driver side and bang bang bang yes right were is it coming from all i needed was some 1 to push up and down and i could have a look and dammm YES i found it were i put left hand down it was moving the steering rod towards the front and were i fitted the water tank and when you turned in to a left hand bend the driver side would go down and it was hitting the bolt. i remember when i fitted the tank i looked underneath and it was clear and no way it could hit but once the body rolled and were that arm was and then it started i would never found this so glad it has been sorted

Way Hay Hooray

I'm really really glad that's sotrted Gareth! I could hear how much it was bothering you, and we weren't really being a lot of help.

yea i am glad it sorted well i had the tracking checked thursday and bloody hell it is miles out i saw on the gage there is 0 then 3 think mine was almost 5 or 7 if that means any thing so tryed to adjust it i unlosing the driver side lock nut but the pass side is solid but then ran out of time so hopfully that will make mth handle better and hopfully she might sit a bit lower the guy did say it looks like it almost a full turn out on the track rod ends to much tow in

Your tyres should last a bit longer with that sorted out! I've never had my P6 aligned. However, IIRC, Chris York always tells us to get it set to zero toe in/out despite what any manuals say.
