Fair point. Several years ago, I was over in Newfoundland working. I had never been there before. So, one very nice summer evening I decided to take a drive up to the North coast. One or two locals gave me strict warnings to look out for moose, especially at twilight and impressed on me that there would only ever be one winner if you hit a fully grown one.So Cal V8 said:The Electra belonged to cdnp6 - although at first blush it may seem easier to mow down the moose, hitting a 2000 lb beastie won't do you, the car, or the moose any favors, although my money would be on the moose walking away...
I had a rally cresta pb about 2 years ago, I loved it,DaveHerns said:Imagine having a 7 litre engine in your 1st car ! I tried to get insurance for a 1964 3.3 PB Cresta but no-one would quote
I am not sure how to put pics on, but when my mate next comes round I will get him to put some on .DaveHerns said:Those 3.3 PB Crestas were quite quick , probably didn't handle too well
John said:Harvey, the last PB's were 3.3's. My old man had a 3.3 Velox on a C plate, 65?
harveyp6 said:[edit] a quick squint at wiki reckons the PB got the 3.3 but only in the very last year.
I was a very naughty 17-year-old boy and wasn't insured, neither was I grown up enough to understand why insurance was important, nor smart enough to listen to well-meant advice from adults or even simply do as I was told. Fortunately the Lincoln wasn't mobile very long, and I've been properly MOTed, taxed and insured in every vehicle I've owned since. None of which have come close in terms of 'legend' status and which I won't bother listing. A quarter of a century later and I'm still not very good at doing what I'm told!Imagine having a 7 litre engine in your 1st car ! You could be describing me at that age, and even a little bit nowmrtask said:I was a very naughty 17-year-old boy and wasn't insured, neither was I grown up enough to understand why insurance was important, nor smart enough to listen to well-meant advice from adults or even simply do as I was told.
