Just picked up my latest addition, a 1974 2200SC Automatic. It's got a few problems, only to be expected but the brakes are a real concern at the moment. The pedal is very hard but it does eventually stop the car. Doing the servo test, pressing the brake whilst starting the engine, the pedal drops slightly as it should but then pushes up to become quite firm. According to the history most of the brake system has been replaced, a new servo has been fitted, calipers etc at the rear, new pads etc. It does brake evenly and holds on the foot. Any clues as to where to start checking rather than just swapping parts, all the pipework looks OK, vacuum hose looks new, with new clips etc.
