I'm having a bit of trouble removing the 15/16" nuts from the distributor-side water jacket, they are starting to strip, and Geoff doesn't have them.
The nut is quite thin and set against the edge of the jacket, not to mention the stud sticking out. So it's difficult to get anything on it. I gave it a couple of knocks, but it's soft. Any suggestions would be welcome, the engine is off the supports and I don't want to leave it too long!
Not to worry, I got underneath, undid everything in the way and got them off with a spanner. But I do have a question, if anyone's up for it!
Should the water jacket slip over the larger diameter thread and stud? All bolts are out and the two large diameter nuts are off!
