Still lots going on with this, but we’re nearly at the end of the fabrication work.
More stainless exhaust work completed yesterday, this intermediate pipe joins the 4 way exit to the Landrover mild steel downpipe.
It’s a shame that the mandrel bends that were sourced were poor quality, squashed out of round and actually 1mm undersize. Otherwise this would look perfect, not that it needs to obviously!
Most of the sheeting has now been completed, along with the installation of the second ram, mounted horizontally inside the crane structure.
This came from a wheelchair lift of some sort and is telescoping with around 3m travel.
I haven’t got many photos of that install as it was testing our patience a little.
Got a head start on some of the mechanical work too
AN fuel line from tank to mechanical pump/filter
Extra long travel Heavy duty rear shocks fitted, no split pin in the lower yet!
Pedal box cylinders fitted and clutch line and throttle cable connected.
I’ll be making up brake lines this week
