the man is an expert on matters 1980's soul.
You must mean "arse-soul" as the 80's was dreadful for music
60's and 70's were the golden years for soul and I consider myself to be a bit of an expert

Eamonn loves his early 1980's stuff.

I stop at about 1975, different cultures!

Complete with plastic population Grim
there was some shockers around but no different from any decade really.
Time for me to " shut uppa ya face"

I have to admit my parents kept up with musical trends while we were growing up , but I haven't
I remember the 80's for Thompson Twins , Culture Club and other horrors
As far as I'm concerned Britain has no talent anymore

I think there is, you just have to look beyond what the media shows you. Listening to 6 music rather than mainstream music stations is a start....

Its unusual i think that the radio plays the quality music of the day back over the years?

Apparently, Britain does have talent (at least in canine form):

I dare you watch this. I have to admit that even as a hardened grumpy old cynic it made me smile a little  .

I'm with Rich in terms of radio stations like 6 Music. With DAB & Internet radio we are spoiled for choice now. No need to listen to all the guff that has been plugged by record companies (as some folks allege) on the mainstream radio any longer :) .

I have to share this with anyone who is feeling at a loss when it comes to contemporary music.
I've liked his music for a while now but got the chance to see him in London last weekend.
True, authentic and humble. He is 60+ and until recently was actually homeless when discovered and given a chance from Daptone records
Charles Bradley
I highly recommend taking any opportunity to see him live
Here's the opener to the show last week :D
