Hello.
I have at last got around to joining the club and should have done so far sooner. I have been involved with numerous classic cars and other classic interests for many decades so it's certainly a hobby or perhaps even a way of life that I find most rewarding.
Currently I have no P6 to my name and nor have I owned one in the past, but I now feel the time is right. Hopefully I would like to track down a very decent Series I TC model or at a stretch a very early SII TC.
My current classics are a 1971 Triumph Vitesse Mk2 convertible in lovely condition and an equally stunning 1967 Sunbeam Alpine SV GT. Much to the shock of my classic car friends I have said that it is the Alpine that will make way for the correct P6- they really do think I am completely mad; however the lure of the P6 has been gaining strength over the last year or so.
We have travelled throughout Europe in the Vitesse, so that car really does have a significance for us.
I thought of running three classics again, but having tried to do that previously it's not for me so P6 and Vitesse is the way forward.
Based in East Sussex, I am chuffed that the Southern National will be at Brooklands in 2018.
Many thanks.
Richard.
