Re: Ian Wilson Rest in Peace.

RIP Ian such a sad loss! Only spoke a couple of times but it was always friendly and more of a chat than a business conversation. Condolences go out to Donna and family.

Re: Ian Wilson Rest in Peace.

Very sad to hear this. It seems to be such a short time since Ian told us he was unwell. My thoughts go to his family.

This is just the saddest news.

Ian was a lovely man who helped me out on many occasions, even diverting 20 miles one day to drop parts off to me. He will be sadly missed by all in the Rover community.

My sincere condolences to all his family.

My sincerest condolences to all of Ian's family. I spoke to him on several occasions regarding parts, and he always went out of his way to be helpful. He'll be sorely missed.

I can only echo what has been said already; Ian was a very friendly & helpful guy who will be sorely missed by his family, friends & the P6 fraternity.

May he rest in peace.

For those who didnt know Ian, this is a little about him and his involvment with our favourite car (from someone a little more knowledgable and articulate than me)

Ian will be remembered by all involved with the restoration and use and ownership of the Rover P6 as the owner of Rover Classics. At the time Ian was the major source of spares for the P6 and was at least as memorable for his photographic memory, which allied to the number of cars he had taken down to bare base units, allowed him to dispense detailed and expert advice to all who rang.

He will be especially remembered for his dedication to and intimate knowledge of the US market NADA 3500S and also it's Federal TC cousins. His contacts in the US and his regular import to the UK of worthwhile examples has raised their profile from mere curiosities to a mainstream sub branch of the P6 movement.

The Rover P6 Club welcomed Ian and his family to the 2013 Jubilee Rally at Coughton Court where his children were able to award the new Club trophy, "The Wilson Cup", for the first time.

Ian is survived by his wife Donna and children Jo, Eily, Ella and Joseph. Joseph has inherited his Father's flair with P6's so we should see him at many future events with his Dad's beautiful White NADA.
